28 October 2022 - Respected & Protected - then Understood

I find it remarkable.

24-7 attention is demanded. Communication is anything but functional. Contribution is lopsided.

Yet... 

We'd have it no other way!

You inspire hope. 
You give so much more; as you ostensibly demand. 
You trigger in us, the cultivation of better selves.

Thank you.

And then, as if that is not enough...

There are the moments when you woo us completely



You don't yet say words, 
to express what you mean.

We don't yet have words, 
to describe inner scenes.

Whilst walking from one building to another today. I spotted a very cute moment in motion.

I am not sure if it was a brother and sister, two young school friends. or a something altogether different.

Both kids were pint-sized relative to the bike they shared.

But the young boy leading the ride showcased strength, speed and chivalry.



Take a cue from this sweetheart, regarding how you are treated (especially by boys, as you grow). 


Respected and protected. That is a base.

Understanding comes with time. It is is built upon the base mentioned.


Respect, protection and understanding exist in our home sweetheart. 

In relationships with others as you grow, do not settle for behavior that compromises the base principles.


Disrespect clips another's wings. So too do non-protective (or abusive) behaviors. 


The earlier you take responsibility for who you spend  time, and the wiser your choices, the more beautiful your life will be.
Remember what was said about 'fail fast' yesterday. 
It applies to scenarios where unpalatable behavior is proffered up.
Onwards you should go.
There are others who deserve that space of life time.


(I talked less about how you are to treat others sweetheart, and yet it is equally important. More about that later. Suffice to say that the word responsibility comes up again.)

Challenges are a part of life. Being unwell is a challenge that impacts every other challenge... and more particularly, it impacts the ability to resolve every other life challenge faced. Overnight last night, you had a challenge that we (Mum and I) couldn't resolve alone. So, we called for help. Doctors Andrei and Anastasia were wonderful helpers. They were patient, informative, and kind. 18 August 2023 - Mira turned one

Today was a Friday. In other words, a 'typical work day'. So, invites to your birthday were dished out for tomorrow; a day late, but accounting for availability. Well well well, weren't we in for a surprise. A veritably delightful one. Or ones. Neighbours stopping by before 7:30am, with cakes and gifts for you... And with your grandma present too The surprise view from the window! Dressed and ready to glow... One direction. Energy transfer. More visitors arrive of a morning. That window view, unencumbered by a window. And the Russian version above the front entrance! Mum playing after having hung the Russian version; pretending to play judge. At the front door. A lunchtime visitor; who used to teach your sister Dunia at preschool came by. A chat to family in Oz. Late afternoon, even more guests and gifts. 02 January 2023 - My friends are your friends

There is a lot that I would love to give you and your sister. Family ties is something that is a given, and so too blood relatives. Beyond the family, there are others from who you can learn and find guidance with. Some of those people were on a call moments ago. You got to join the call. I hope that your sister can join in due course too. It's been on the cards for a long time now. Everyone on the call today is able teach you something that will be life enhancing. That is a gift. Earlier today, you enjoyed visits from both family and friends. In Russian, there is an expression which translates as "The Sweet Table" or "The Table of Sweets".
