19 January 2023 - Moment to moment: Emotion to emotion

Some things words don't capture.

Some things pictures try to.


What is a moment?


A transitory event.

One just happened.

And again.

Another.. & another.. & another..


Fleeting by. Over and over.


There is a remarkable irony in the concept of a 'moment'.


Certain moments, leave an indelible imprint.

They leave a mark, that lasts long after the 'moment' is gone.

You and your sister have a knack for creating such moments.


The joy..


The search for certainty..


The finding of comfort..


The knowing..


The zoning out..


These moments on your bouncer were enjoyed whilst Mum & I's breakfast was being served up.

Some time later, you enjoyed brightness on the playmat..


Finding the mirror..


Stuck in the mirror with you..



You fell asleep on my shoulder today. 

That was a moment,
that was not just a moment.


There is song titled "I don't want to miss a thing".

I was taken to it today.

I am taken to it when I think of both you and your sister.


I wish you both moments in life that stay with you as sources of positive energy.

I wish you both moments that you inspire you to look forward.

I wish you both many moments, in the years ahead, that will surpass even your grandest hopes.


It'll be wonderful if we get to share a bunch of them.

Challenges are a part of life. Being unwell is a challenge that impacts every other challenge... and more particularly, it impacts the ability to resolve every other life challenge faced. Overnight last night, you had a challenge that we (Mum and I) couldn't resolve alone. So, we called for help. Doctors Andrei and Anastasia were wonderful helpers. They were patient, informative, and kind. Thank you to them both By morning time, and our morning tradition time, you were back on your feet 😊 After the overnight hiccup, the moments shared were all the more precious. Late afternoon, when I returned home, we stepped out into the garden... And contrary to expectations, we found an apple! It was the 'last man standing' on the tree. 18 August 2023 - Mira turned one

Today was a Friday. In other words, a 'typical work day'. So, invites to your birthday were dished out for tomorrow; a day late, but accounting for availability. Well well well, weren't we in for a surprise. A veritably delightful one. Or ones. Neighbours stopping by before 7:30am, with cakes and gifts for you... And with your grandma present too The surprise view from the window! Dressed and ready to glow... One direction. Energy transfer. More visitors arrive of a morning. That window view, unencumbered by a window. And the Russian version above the front entrance! Mum playing after having hung the Russian version; pretending to play judge. At the front door. A lunchtime visitor; who used to teach your sister Dunia at preschool came by. A chat to family in Oz. Late afternoon, even more guests and gifts. 02 January 2023 - My friends are your friends

There is a lot that I would love to give you and your sister. Family ties is something that is a given, and so too blood relatives. Beyond the family, there are others from who you can learn and find guidance with. Some of those people were on a call moments ago. You got to join the call. I hope that your sister can join in due course too. It's been on the cards for a long time now. Everyone on the call today is able teach you something that will be life enhancing. That is a gift. Earlier today, you enjoyed visits from both family and friends. In Russian, there is an expression which translates as "The Sweet Table" or "The Table of Sweets". In addition to yours and our company, that is what everyone enjoyed. This was part of Phase 1.. You relaxed.. ..whilst sweets were savored,  and gifts were offered up on your behalf.
