24 August 2023 - Dunia 14 yrs & 6 mths - Adaptability

Your sister Dunia turned 14 years & 6 months old today. Congratulations. Every day is a blessing.

Her circumstances have blocked us from meeting up for almost 4 years now (literally, since 01-01-2020). Notwithstanding living less than 1km away.

You yourself haven't yet met her once.


Patience sweetheart, patience.

Patience is a form of something that we have spoken about previously.

Namely: the ability to adapt.


Angelic moments like this make life more magical.

Unfortunately, not every moment carries an aura, such as the above or the below.

The below (four shots) were inspired by playfully pretending to be a kung fu expert.








Having a blood test taken,

And having an overall check up,

Require more courage and coping skills.


Courage and coping skills are, in-turn, forms of the ability to adapt.


As to the ability to adapt,

I myself adapt daily to your desires whilst we walk.

It is a delight to see how you almost leap out of my are as you lunge forward to indicate the direction that you desire.


The desire to note something down regarding the ability to adapt came from having heard a story today about a basketball coach who moved from a warm state to a cold one.

"Are you a cold weather guy or a warm weather guy?"

"I'm a dressed for the weather guy" he answered.


Great lesson: It's not about the circumstances. It"d about how you adapt.

Wishing you and your sister the development of knowledge-sets and skill-sets, that ensure that you both become ultra-adaptable throughout your lifetimes.

Wishing you the capacity to (as you grow up) recognize mal-adaptive practices; and to in-turn repair and overcome such practices.

Challenges are a part of life. Being unwell is a challenge that impacts every other challenge... and more particularly, it impacts the ability to resolve every other life challenge faced. Overnight last night, you had a challenge that we (Mum and I) couldn't resolve alone. So, we called for help. Doctors Andrei and Anastasia were wonderful helpers. They were patient, informative, and kind. 18 August 2023 - Mira turned one

Today was a Friday. In other words, a 'typical work day'. So, invites to your birthday were dished out for tomorrow; a day late, but accounting for availability. Well well well, weren't we in for a surprise. A veritably delightful one. Or ones. Neighbours stopping by before 7:30am, with cakes and gifts for you... And with your grandma present too The surprise view from the window! Dressed and ready to glow... One direction. Energy transfer. More visitors arrive of a morning. That window view, unencumbered by a window. And the Russian version above the front entrance! Mum playing after having hung the Russian version; pretending to play judge. At the front door. A lunchtime visitor; who used to teach your sister Dunia at preschool came by. A chat to family in Oz. Late afternoon, even more guests and gifts. 02 January 2023 - My friends are your friends

There is a lot that I would love to give you and your sister. Family ties is something that is a given, and so too blood relatives. Beyond the family, there are others from who you can learn and find guidance with. Some of those people were on a call moments ago. You got to join the call. I hope that your sister can join in due course too. It's been on the cards for a long time now. Everyone on the call today is able teach you something that will be life enhancing. That is a gift. Earlier today, you enjoyed visits from both family and friends. In Russian, there is an expression which translates as "The Sweet Table" or "The Table of Sweets". In addition to yours and our company, that is what everyone enjoyed. This was part of Phase 1.. You relaxed.. ..whilst sweets were savored,  and gifts were offered up on your behalf.
