24 December 2023 - Eve to the Catholic Christmas

It was a fun reason to dress up first thing this morning.

We both had reindeers on our tops.

I also tried to recreate your cheeks, using my own... The result was not nearly as gorgeous as yours!

Fun continued in the early evening as we went into the city centre to see how it's been adorned for the Christmas and New Year period.

One big Christmas tree.

Another one!

You were flying high!

Even moreso were the birds swarming around and staying atop the cathedral.

The swarms were magnificent.

Not all sweet offerings were able to be rejected.

After Mum got her pastry, you didn't articulate her thoughts.

But your eyes did!

Waves of lights.

Back.to the first tree.

Tree number three.

With it's own luminous poncho!

Food was called for after all the to and fro.

You were quite literally buckled up, in preparation.

With a makeshift bib, you were ready to go.

Mum and I lapped up your presence.

And then these arrived.

And began being lapped up.

Including by you!

We shared some spicy tea with you too.

Loved seeing you savouring.

We came prepared for the predictable down time.

Which made some focused eating possible.

Especially by the person who placed the orders ☺

I loved the fact that you loved the sushi rolls (including with the ones with pistachio nuts).

I hope that you and your sister develop minds that are open to trying new flavours.

I hope that you both get to try many of the worlds flavours, and that you both help to make the world itself more flavour-some.

❤❤❤
