16 June 2024 - Eid Mubarak

You woke up, and we headed straight outside for some sunshine.

Before exiting, we already had sunshine ☺


When we headed to the shops a little later, you took of your hat... And created a substitute.


Back outside again post your daytime night, we were this time joined by this little fella.


Why not a full body shot?


You decided to help me clean up, prior to the picnic


And then began 'helping' prior to the table being set 


And again with the food testing help


Oops



Lots of international calls to family and friends were made today.

One included Uncle Suhaib (or as you call him Su-babe)


You played with Mum post picnic, and finished up by coming in for a hug.

It was beautiful.


As a little Eid bonus, a lovely lady named Evgeniya came by with gifts for you: a hand-woven hat, and a soft toy.

It was very sweet of her.


May you and your siblings enjoy many a celebration, many a picnic, and many quality moments (both separately and jointly) with others who feel healthy love towards you.

I left a message in an intra-family chat today.  This was it's essence... "Families sometimes have the good fortune of having someone who changes the trajectory of the clan. When this is spoken of, it's usually due to changing the financial position of a family.. and often in consequence of that, other aspects of life too. New trajectories don't happen by chance. And that someone is your Grandfather Mohamad Matar.  Your Grandfather is a gift to us, and to the broader family. And he has gifted us with much.. kicking off with the commitment to have myself & your Uncles & Aunts receive the key to opening future doors. Namely, the best possible education; irrespective of the cost to Him and Grandma.. Most recently, he stood firm with support for us going out to Australia  Happy Birthday Grandad...

Leaving China. On the way. Coming in for landing. Landed. Signposting home. Uniting. Heartfelt magic. Uniting with you both. Joy for all ages. Especially the grandparents. Always modest, Aunt Rabs took this airport photo. Getting set to set off. Brief pitstop, for an overview of Wollongong. Symbolism upon arrival to the local lake. Turnout. Shared dinner. Shared times. Mum and I selfied in front of a tree out front. The connecting continued. Farewelling some of the fam for the night. Time with others who couldn't arrive early. AK lights out. Late night sharing.
