I have mentioned my dear friend (& non-blood brother) Olivier to you before.

I have not mentioned his mother.

Chantal always treated me like a son too. Every time I visited France, the welcome was more than warm. It was a homecoming. I am eternally grateful for this.

Chantal turned 80 today!!!

Awake. Already a ray of sunshine. Yet, could still do with a little more rest. I returned home near to lunch time, And encountered this scene. Mum's planned-for dessert... which had been left on the table with a cup of coffee... wasn't going to make it. Fate had it that... Your brother cried out for a feed... and She ably responded... and You executed on your plan ☺ Post meal, pure joy. There was also joy, when you stepped out and checked out your new contraption. Before hopping over to the raspberry garden. Early evening, the water melon left on the table was not left untouched. Yes, a theme is forming here... Ditto, the dinner time sushi. The chopsticks were used unorthodoxly, As the fish bits were harpooned. Then a return to civility. "What" you asked? What incivility? There is more than one way to do things in life. And, of course, you were right. ❤❤❤

Your Birthday morning, kicked off on the right note! Birthday dancing. Your musician Grandad, serenading you on your birthday.. Some of the delights enjoyed, thanks for the most part to Mum's efforts! Thanks to our family friend Abu Ali, Lebanese cuisine adorned the table! Beauty-full! A few at the table. Your maternal Uncle assisted as you tried on your doctor's outfit. I was in trouble... The last shot taken, before I was left wet and laughing. Balloons! Having a blast! Beauty and your Bro. The Grandma baked cake! Us. Those who shared the moments in-person. Mum & I bring out your cake. Time to blow out the candles!! Thank you to you and your siblings. 06 November 2023 - Challenges are growth portals

Challenges are a part of life. Being unwell is a challenge that impacts every other challenge... and more particularly, it impacts the ability to resolve every other life challenge faced. Overnight last night, you had a challenge that we (Mum and I) couldn't resolve alone. So, we called for help. Doctors Andrei and Anastasia were wonderful helpers. They were patient, informative, and kind. Thank you to them both By morning time, and our morning tradition time, you were back on your feet 😊 After the overnight hiccup, the moments shared were all the more precious. Late afternoon, when I returned home, we stepped out into the garden... And contrary to expectations, we found an apple! It was the 'last man standing' on the tree.
