14 October 2024 - Mother's Day

As I wrote to your relatives in Australia today:

"We are born alone. And die alone.

In between, we get to have some experiences.

If we are very fortunate, we get to share experiences.

With others. With others of significance. And better still, with others of very deep significance.

Shared experiences take on a whole new level, when the decision is made to share genes; To create new life jointly.

Without mothers, we could not become fathers.

Experiences that inspire us (via watching, contributing to, and sharing with our children) are a direct result of those we share with, choosing to take the sharing-genes-leap with us.

Today is Mother's Day in Belarus.

I want to wish Ulyana a Happy Mother's Day, in the presence of family. May she know just how important she is. Thank you."
