26 October 2024 - The farewelling season

"Some birds aren't meant to be caged",

..is a movie line that pierced me, with it's first encounter.

Somehow, you have an interesting conscience on this point.

It was beautiful outside.

And yet solemn with cold.

Autumn is a time of farewelling the once green.

In a personification on the autumn principle,

A dear friend's father, the Honourable Devan P Maistry, was farewelled today.

A justice warrior, an artist & a musician, a man of depth & principle... a much loved father, an esteemed father-in-law, uncle looked up to as a light... a beloved grandfather.

May Uncle Devan be resting in peace.
