My mother is your grandmother. One of two grandmothers that you have.

Grandmother Barihan is a real life treasure. And a treasure chest, of love.

Here's the little note that she received from our end (in a group chat with my siblings) this morning; before we called.

"It is impossible to overestimate the importance of a mother. Especially in the earliest years of life.

It is incredibly good fortune to get an attentive, responsive, and positive mother in your life.

That incredibly good fortune was gifted to us.

Happy Birthday Mum! 🎈🎈🎈 

Wishing you good health, and peace of mind.

It is a daily highlight to hear your voice and see your face daily. Whether for a minute or for 20 of them, you are a source of life energy like no other.

The first call from us, with the first rendition of Happy Birthday, was made by just you and I.


A little later, once everyone was up, we did a retake.

Your grandma was visibly happy.


Back here at the ranch, my beanie became your beanie.


Music to the ears continued.


AK being Brandon-esque.


While hearted engagement.


Outdoors..


Earthing.


Unearthed.


Back down on level ground.

Jointly.

Awake. Already a ray of sunshine. Yet, could still do with a little more rest. I returned home near to lunch time, And encountered this scene. Mum's planned-for dessert... which had been left on the table with a cup of coffee... wasn't going to make it. Fate had it that... Your brother cried out for a feed... and She ably responded... and You executed on your plan ☺ Post meal, pure joy. There was also joy, when you stepped out and checked out your new contraption. Before hopping over to the raspberry garden. Early evening, the water melon left on the table was not left untouched. Yes, a theme is forming here... Ditto, the dinner time sushi. The chopsticks were used unorthodoxly, As the fish bits were harpooned. Then a return to civility. "What" you asked? What incivility? There is more than one way to do things in life. And, of course, you were right. ❤❤❤

Your Birthday morning, kicked off on the right note! Birthday dancing. Your musician Grandad, serenading you on your birthday.. Some of the delights enjoyed, thanks for the most part to Mum's efforts! Thanks to our family friend Abu Ali, Lebanese cuisine adorned the table! Beauty-full! A few at the table. Your maternal Uncle assisted as you tried on your doctor's outfit. I was in trouble... The last shot taken, before I was left wet and laughing. Balloons! Having a blast! Beauty and your Bro. The Grandma baked cake! Us. Those who shared the moments in-person. Mum & I bring out your cake. Time to blow out the candles!! Thank you to you and your siblings. You are profoundly important and inspiring. Looking forward to seeing you evolve into the You of your choice. ❤❤❤

"Ready to unwrap something Dad?" Aunt Rabs dropped in on a call from Sitto. Mum and I, with You and AK. Your table is not only for consuming knowledge, But also for consuming fresh smoothies. Morning mat time. The best form of being up in arms 😊 Aunt Leila and the kids checked in. Uncle Walid ditto, only moments later. The in-laws dropped in. The fam in Oz checked in as I was en route home. To share moments with the kids, they repeated the delightful HB chorus performance. Ready to step out for a birthday lunch. Kids demands don't take a time out. The tree opposite our first table. You and Vasilisa met. Mum and AK enjoyed a beautifully illustrated and contemporary book. Us. At our second table. You got to have the tree and kids area as a direct extension of our spot. Magical, from the starters through to the desserts. You insisted on me having a slice of 'birthday' special banoffee. You created an additional play zone. The freedom to be, is marvellous. Back home....
