05 April 2025 - Homecoming
Leaving China. On the way. Coming in for landing. Landed. Signposting home. Uniting. Heartfelt magic. Uniting with you both. Joy for all ages. Especially the grandparents. Always modest, Aunt Rabs took this airport photo. Getting set to set off. Brief pitstop, for an overview of Wollongong. Symbolism upon arrival to the local lake. Turnout. Shared dinner. Shared times. Mum and I selfied in front of a tree out front. The connecting continued. Farewelling some of the fam for the night. Time with others who couldn't arrive early. AK lights out. Late night sharing. Good night kiss on the way. Mira Matar with her lights out. 💖💖💖 Omran Matar Dad
10 January 2026 - "Mrs Stone" and 40°C
Rising with the sun. In sync. Bottoms up. "Yummy". (Actually said) "More". (Ditto) Playing the lead role in Joseph and his technicolour dreamcoat, during my school years, happened thanks to this special lady. Fun experiences during music and fourth class at school were due to her too. She felt, and tried to help flourish, my instinct for music too. "Mrs Stone" is a very special one. She planted healthy seeds in the childhood mind, of this now grown up Dad of yours. Now connecting as Jane, it was a pleasure to be visited by this treasure. Triply so, given she made the effort to come all the way up from Tasmania! Delighted that her daughter Trudy came too. Eky and Rabs also have very fond memories. And they were updated with a few more today. At Eky's place, instead of at school this time 😊 Farewell for now photos. Back to the heatwave romp. Finishing the day, at the fair. 💖💖💖 Omran Matar Dad
